I was saved as a teenager in the Spring of 1973 during a church youth activity. In 1983, while serving in the United States Marine Corps, God’s providential hand brought my family and me to the island of Okinawa, Japan where we attended Maranatha Baptist Church. The preaching of God’s Word at Maranatha provided the Holy Spirit an open door to bring conviction on my heart to be scripturally baptized by immersion. That step of obedience was the start of many years of growing and maturing in the Lord.
In 1994, the last long-distance move in the Marine Corps brought us to Quantico, Virginia, where we started attending Heritage Baptist Church, in Woodbridge, Virginia. While at Heritage, I enrolled in the Heritage Institute of Ministry and was awarded a Bachelor of Theology degree. As a member of Heritage Baptist Church I served as a deacon for 22 years, and an adult Sunday School teacher to newlywed couples for 24 years.

I was saved and trusted Christ and Christ alone as my personal Savior on July 8, 1984, while attending Maranatha Baptist Church on Okinawa, Japan. I have been blessed beyond measure with a very loving husband for the past 45 years. The Lord entrusted us to raise and nurture four children using the Bible as our guide and roadmap. Those four children have made me a joyful grandmother of 18 grandchildren.
In addition to parenting and grand-parenting, my most recent ministry has been a joy to help my husband these past 24 years in ministering to the young married couples in the New Beginnings Bible Sunday School class at Heritage Baptist Church in Woodbridge, Virginia.
